Centre for Place, Space and Wellbeing

The centre is being led by Dipl.-Ing. Arch. Sabine Coady Schaebitz and Dr Martin Field. Drawing from academic and practical work in the fields of architecture, urban design, planning, housing, regeneration and community action the centre will develop a thorough understanding of the impact of place in its broad understanding on the health and wellbeing of people. It will focus upon evidenced based research and design methodologies in order to build a bridge between the health and social disciplines on one hand and the built environment and design disciplines on the other. The aim is to promote healthy place-making and to influence policy, practice and education in both directions.
