Alison Ward is an experienced researcher and has worked on a wide range of research projects for local and national organisations. She has expertise in managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects within the public sector, including service evaluation. Recent projects have included the evaluation of a pilot study to test the use and accuracy of a new asthma management card, evaluations of mental health projects within the criminal justice sector and conducting primary research to investigate the behaviours and attitudes of young people to alcohol in Northamptonshire. Alison is also undertaking her PhD in dementia and drama and her research interests include work on dementia, particularly young onset dementia, service evaluation, patient and public involvement and creative engagement and wellbeing. Alison is a member of the University School of Health Ethics Committee, a member of the Dementia Research Network and founding member of the Forget Me Nots young onset dementia social group.
