Professor Judith Sixsmith presents at prestigious Futures Congress in Chile
Institute of Health and Wellbeing *has now closed*
The restructure of the University in August 2016 into four Faculties has led to a renewed focus on high-impact, life changing research across the Institution. Following a detailed staff and financial review, the decision has been made to close the Institute of Health and Wellbeing (IoHW) with immediate effect in order to concentrate expertise and strengthen the link between research and teaching.
The University will be merging research activity from the Institute of Health and Wellbeing into the Faculty of Health and Society, and therefore all projects already committed to by the IoHW will continue. In addition, the absorption of the Institute into the faculty will present new and significant opportunities for developing new teaching and learning programmes, professional development schemes, and enterprise initiatives.
